Land Acknowledgement

We honor that for countless generations, Indigenous peoples have lived and thrived on these lands. This land is part of Treaty 7, home to the Iyethka peoples of the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Goodstoney Bands; the Tsuut’ina; the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) peoples of Siksika, Piikani and Kainai Bands. This land is also home to the Métis that reside within Rocky View Métis District of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government within the Métis Nation of Alberta.

As we practice yoga here, we recognize their deep connection to this land and express our gratitude for their enduring stewardship. We are grateful for their contributions and the opportunity to practice on these sacred grounds.
